Meanwhile the Washington Times published a report about “no new wall” in 30 months
SAN DIEGO, California — The Trump administration has not installed a single mile of new wall in a previously fenceless part of the U.S.-Mexico border in the 30 months since President Trump assumed office, despite his campaign promise to construct a “big beautiful wall.”
This reflects two things (1) it take a while to get construction projects through the pipeline and (2) much of previous work has replaced existing lower walls or vehicle barriers with higher bollard fencing.
Ann Coulter and Drudge report also respond
A pair of prominent conservative personalities knocked President Trump on Monday over a report that asserted his administration has not constructed a single mile of new wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Meanwhile, Trump fires back with familiar refrains (e.g. fake news)
The Washington Examiner reported over the weekend that the Trump administration "has not installed a single mile of new wall in a previously fenceless part of the U.S.-Mexico border in the 30 months since President Trump assumed office."
Though I expect part of the reason for the Washington Times attack is to reinforce Trump’s resolve on border fencing.
