Tohono O’odham is a native american reservation that spans the US/Mexico border. Members live on both sides (mostly the US side).
They have long opposed a fortified wall on their land, though recently did compromise to allow some surveilence towers

Recently a gate was closed to vehicle traffic making it much more difficult for some villages on the Mexican side to get to groceries
